Details: Plans call for the construction of 37 resort villas and 50 private residences as part of the Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country luxury resort. Homes will range from singlestory homes, villas and cottage-style houses ranging from three to five bedroom. Amenities include five food and beverage areas, an all-day restaurant, specialty restaurant, bar and lounge, pool bar and juice bar. It will also feature an 11,000square-foot spa and fitness center with two pools, sports courts, and treatment rooms. The city council will address the issue at their meeting tomorrow on 5/5/26. The developer has said publicly they plan to begin preliminary site and infrastructure work this summer, however they may not begin work until the issue is resolved, and the city has no approved funding in place, so when they might be able to begin work is not known. April 16, 2025 Planning/Approval As of 4/16/25, the project plans have been announced and the resort is expected to open in 2027.
